Welcome To WICASA Pune.

Western India Chartered Accountants Students Association (WICASA) is the student’s wing of Western India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants Association (WIRC-ICAI). It is this association which provides students a platform to learn, share, participate and perform. It’s a family consisting of 150,000 members in the western region. The managing committee consists of 12 members who are Chartered Accountancy course students, pursuing their articleship, to be the eminent future torchbearers of the institute. ICAI looks forward to building WICASA as a strong platform for their future growth. It’s a platform for visionaries to build their networking, social circle, and sharpen their leadership skills by participating in various activities held in WICASA.

What the WICASA Aims to Achieve?

  • 1. Provides a channel of communication with the Institute for quick resolution of student-related matters.
  • 2. Assists in providing facilities like Book Bank, Reading Room, and Hostel etc.
  • 3. Organises Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, and Programmes.
  • 4. Conducts Sports, Youth & Other Cultural Activities.
  • 5. Organises Trips, Tours to Factories & Industrial Organizations & to places of Historical & Educational Importance.

Various Activities Held at WICASA

  • 1. Quiz and elocution competition for students throughout the region and National Level Competition.
  • 2. Special effort for making books available to students staying in Hostel.
  • 3. Large numbers of programs for promoting social/intellectual/cultural activities are organized, including topics such as Stress management, Positive Thinking, Yoga, Elocution & Quiz competition etc.
  • 4. Various academic student programs organized during the year.
  • 5. Students are particularly encouraged to act as co-coordinators at various student programmes.
  • 6. Inter-firm Cricket Tournament is organized in which article students participate in large numbers.
  • 7. Separate section for student activities referred to in the WIRC monthly newsletter.
  • 8. Round-the-clock reading room facilities are made available at various centres.
